Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has
reopened the NDA (II) 2021 application form for women candidates on September
24. Interested women candidates can apply for the exam till October 8. The
application fee is exempted for women candidates. The unmarried women
candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria in terms of nationality, age,
marital status, educational qualification, etc as per the NDA (II) 2021
notification published on June 9, 2021, can apply for the exam. The physical
standards and number of vacancies for women candidates will be informed later
after it is notified by the Ministry of Defence. The admission of women
candidates in the NDA & NA (II) 2021 exam will remain provisional and
subject to the final outcome of WP(C). No.1416/2020 or such other orders as may
be passed by the Supreme Court of India and action taken by the Union
Government in the matter.

NDA (II) 2021 written exam will be
conducted on November 14 across 75 exam centers spread throughout the country
to fill up a total of 400 vacant posts. For the first time, women candidates

NDA application form opens for women
candidates for the first time in history.

The first batch of women candidates will
appear for NDA (II) 2021 exam on November 14. Following the Supreme Court's
interim order, UPSC has opened the online application form portal for women
candidates. This is for the first time that women candidates are applying for
the exam.
The Supreme Court on September 22 told the
Centre to include women candidates on November 14 exam. The apex court has said
that it would not vacate its interim order allowing women candidates to
participate in NDA 2021 exam.
Women
candidates to appear for NDA exam from May 2022:-
The Ministry of Defence informed SC that it
will release a notification allowing women candidates to appear for the NDA exam in
May 2022. A board of Officers has been convened to formulate the futuristic
proposal for the training of women cadets at the NDA. The medical and physical
fitness standards for the selection of women candidates are also being deliberated
upon.
The Union government on September 8 has
informed Supreme Court that it has decided to enroll women in National DefenceAcademy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) courses. The Centre has sought time to
frame the guidelines for admission of women candidates in NDA and NA. The
Centre has also sought an exemption from allowing women candidates for this
year’s paper.
Age
limit/Eligibility:-
For NDA 2 exam, both male and female
candidates must have been born not earlier than January 2, 2003, and not later than
January 1, 2006.

Exam
The written exam of NDA comprises two
papers: Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT). The written test carries a
total of 900 marks. Candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the
written exam are called for SSB Interview.

of result
NDA result is declared online in two
stages: written and final. The results for both stages are made available
in PDF format. It displays the roll numbers of qualified candidates. The mark sheet of candidates is released after the declaration of the final result.
Candidates need to secure NDA cut off separately in the written exam and SSB
Interview.

Interview
The SSB Interview is conducted for
Intelligence and Personality Test. The test is conducted in two stages. On the
first day of reporting, all candidates are required to undergo stage 1 test at
Selection Centres/Air Force Selection Boards/Naval Selection Boards. Candidates
qualifying for the first stage are called for the second stage exam. Those who
qualify for the second stage are required to submit a birth certificate and
pass certificate.

Selection
Candidates are finally selected for admission to Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of NDA and INAC based on their performance in the written exam and SSB Interview.
