What is the Indian Navy SSR AA Recruitment Exam?

Indian Navy SSR AA Recruitment is the sailor department of the Indian Navy. It is the naval branch under the Department of the Indian Armed Forces under the Government of India. Indian Navy SSR AA is also known as the Indian Navy Senior Secondary Recruits and Artificer Apprentice Eligibility Test. Indian Navy SSR and AA Eligibility: Educational Qualifications

For Sailor (AA): Candidate must have completed 10+2 exam with 60% or more marks in total with Maths and Physics or at least one of these subjects (Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science) from the Boards of School Education that is recognized by MHRD, Government of India.

For Sailor (SSR): Candidate must have completed 10+2 exam with Maths and Physics or at least one of these subjects (Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science) from the Boards of School Education that is recognized by MHRD, Government of India.

Indian Navy SSR Written Test

@The Written Test consists of objective-type questions and will be bilingual (Hindi & English).

@The test consists of four sections (English, General Knowledge, Mathematics, and Science) of 10+2 level.

@The Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will be conducted on the same day as the written exam

@The written exam is conducted for an hour.

Note: There is negative marking or Penalty for Wrong Answer. Applicants must be careful while answering as one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be cut for each wrong answer.

 

Indian Navy SSR Physical Fitness Test

For the candidate meeting, the requirements of the Physical Fitness Test are compulsory for future selection. Candidates must complete the following:-

1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes

20 squats

10 Push-ups.

 

Indian Navy SSR Medical Standards

Under this exam, the physical traits and mental health of the candidate are tested by approved military doctors. The doctors assess the applicants as per the medical standard set in present regulations. The following are requirements to be fulfilled by the candidates.

Minimum (MALE)            157 centimetre

Minimum chest expansion           5 cm

Minimum (FEMALE)        148 centimetre

@Applications are only accepted by mail and no other types of shipping are permitted.

@Eligible candidates on the Candidate List will receive a Call-up letter with the date, time, and location of the planned exam.

@The results of the written exam are usually published on the same day.

@The Written exam is followed by a Physical Fitness Test (PFT), followed by a medical examination. This can take 3-4 days, depending on external factors and service requirements.

@Temporarily ineligible will be referred to a military hospital for review within 21 days of the initial medical examination.

An All India Merit List will be created and a candidate list of candidates will be posted to their respective recruitment centres.
